Crystal Saga Knights Tanks and DPS Style Guide

Crystal Saga Knights Tanks and DPS Style Guide by lucansnaka

Hello people, seems like everybody is having problem about what to do with your knight right?
So... I want to prepare a small guide about what it takes to be a Tanker or a DPS knight.

DPS ( Damage Per Second ) --> Most Chosen...
Advantages:
- Easy to play
- Spam skills
- Damage grows fast
- Level up Faster

Disvantages:
- Potion Spaming
- Skills that use too much of your MP
- Not as good as Tanker in Dugeon, and still not as good as Rogue DPS in dugeon
- Take Bad damage

To make a Dps Knight you may wanna play the styles by level stats
2 strength / 1 Endurance
or
3 strength / 0 Endurance

The skills you should put On the Retribution Skill Tree

-Remembering Iron blood skill - Gives you nice Physical Attack from the start
Then you come to the Damage skills.

Fierce atack - level 1
Valiant Slash - Lvl 1 or Lvl 5 / Goes by your wish
Slayer's wipe - Lvl 1 / I know it will be harder to level...
Saber Slash - Lvl 1 or Lvl 5 / By your wish
Improved Fierce atack - Level 5 / There you go the useless skill become usefull ^^
Improved Slayer's wipe - Level 5 / that one too if you may wait from lvl 20 to 50...this is top damage skill

In the future you may considere getting the Improved Iron blood too
Some people likes to Use the Protection Skill tree to have to +25% HP +500 HP Skill named Battle Hymn
Its goes by your wish...

I cannot guide you more then this cause that is all I know about this... ^^

Now Tanker Knight - I'm making a Tanker knight right now so I'm Creating that build that is working for me (lvl 32 Tanker Server Himeng Valley) ATM
Advantages :
- Take really small damage
- Most usefull in dugeons at all
- High HP
- No using much potions
- Don't need the best Equipments to Have a High defense

Disvantages:
- Deals small damage
- Don't use Damage Skills
- Not a PVP monster ><
- Can't take down another Tanker

To make a Tanker Knight you may considere playing... by level stats
1 Strength / 2 Endurance - That is what i'm doing, it's very nice
or
0 Strength / 3 Endurance - That may be insane, and Hard as HELL to level

About Skills:
-
You choose to be a tanker so here we go to... The PROTECTION Skill Tree
First from the start you should conside the skill
Earth's Blessing - Lvl 5 +163 Defense + 10% Damage Reduction
(Don't need a shield, and It's a Passive Skill)
~
Battle Hynm - Needed by Tankers, On level 5 it gives you +25% HP + 500 HP
~
Taunt - Lvl 1 or Lvl 5 (Goes by your wish / In lvl 30 you have another Threat skill that does damage too)
~
Wave (lvl 30) - Lvl 5 - Does Damage in area and increase the Threat...(OVER TIME)
~
Improved Earth's blessing (lvl 40) - Lvl 5 for sure this is TOP defense skill
~
OR you may choose to use the Shield Damage skills but I really dislike the first 3...
That mean... THEY ARE USELESS AT ALL
Before level 40 the shield damage skills are very ridiculous...
I mean... your doing 250 Damage at lvl 30... If you are using the Shield skills you are doing 300!! GREAT IMPROVMENT RIGHT? haha
I really think the 3 First skills to shield are useless and who made then are Trolling the Tankers of the game ^^ haha

~
But anyway... You can go by
-Shield Strike lvl 1
-Sword Spring lvl 1
-Dragon hook lvl 1
- (lvl 40) Improved Shield strike Lvl 1 or lvl 5 / Here you choose what you want first...
- (lvl 50) Improved Sword Spring lvl 1 or lvl 5 / Damage skill at lvl 40 or lvl 50... goes by your wish ^^
- (Lvl 30) Back Breaker lvl 1 - to Open Shield Breaker
- (lvl 50) Shield breaker - That skill may rules (I still need to see it on action ^^)

Pets For the players
- As someone said in the forum, it would be nice to say what Pets are the bests to support each kind of knight right?
^^ here it goes
As a Tanker Knight you may prefer the Most Agressive and Physical atack Pet to try to help your damage up.
So it goes for Boxing Bear or a Morphed Bear (Full Strength)
In lvl 34 dealing 310 damage, the pet helps you doing 220 damage its a Boxing Bear ^^ full Strength
You Shouldn't try up the Vulture pet/Beach Crawler
You may wanna try out Morphed Barbarian MALE that have high damage and good damage skills
For pets That do Damage prefer the MALE Ones, that have better Appititudes then Females And have Damage skills
For pets that gives you Support Prefer the Female Ones, cause they have the Best skills ^^

As a DPS you might want a Pet that only helps you kill faster, and you do Damage enough to kill faster by yourself...
So by low level you may prefer MALE Archers or Morphed Archers Cause they can have the Frenzy Skill
That skill gives you Time by Time a Movement Speed Bonus +20 at lvl 1. (I only know the lvl 1 sorry '-')
Then you can level up and choose up to Spectre or Morphed Spectre FEMALE cause they have the best buffs, they can get your dodge up and make you run faster and make you atack faster.
By growing up as a DPS you may want to try out the blue Golem lvl 40 (I don't know his name)
^^ Every pet can be the best, if you level him and got the right skills you wanted...

I'll try to always make this guide better ^^ so i'm putting a list of itens that might be nice for Knights Level to Level
~ Here it goes

Do you guys know about Item Synthesis?? Nope!? '-'
It's a way to use the Dugeon drops named as Shards to Get Better Equipments.
From lvl 25 - XX you can do the Indigo Bright Dugeon that gives you the Dreamwalker Shard<
You got to Collect Shards then to Make itens on Item Synthesis menu on your inventory

The best itens for me so far
- Dreamwalker's Gloves (Physical Atacks UP) - 6 Shards
- Dream Walker's Ring (Physical Atacks UP + HP) - 7 Shards
- Dreamwalker's Helmet (HP UP) - 9 Shards

And having this 3 parts of the set you may have a Bonus (HP Up + MP Up)
This may looks like hard to do... as you need a party to do the dugeon and share the itens... but it is not, as you get lvl 30+ you can solo this dugeon being a Knight DPS or Tanker, The only difference is about the time took for Completing the dugeon.
You should use Lvl 30 Potions and then you can solo this dugeon 5 times a Day
22 Shards don't seems like Hard now right? As you can drop 2 by dugeon at maximum

Then Doing the Dugeon Named as Vault
You can drop Purple/Gold Top itens that will help you improve yourself but, there is always a new set, the one named "Etheral"
You can use the Itens you got from Dreamwalker set to make the Etheral's parts using less shards Too.
The best things for Etheral Set:

-Etheral's helmet (+10 Strength + HP up) - Dreamwalker's Helmet + 10 Ethel Shards
-Etheral's Band (+40 Physical atack + HP up) - Dreamwalker's Ring + 8 Ethel Shards
-Etheral's glove ( Physical Atack Up + 2% Physical atack dmg) - Dreamwalker's Gloves + 7 Ethel Shards

If you don't have time or patience to get all the itens, I do recommend you get at least the Glove cause it is Good for Knight as it is good for Rogues.
^^ Hope you take your time, the Etheral's set is harder to get but the dugeon have 3 bosses that means that you can get 6 shards by dugeon at maximum if you have lucky  Hope you get there and get all the parts you want ^^ .

Ps : The things I wrote in this guide I learned by playing '-' I just saw the other dude DPS build '-'...
Yep he is good, I never get to lvl 50+ as DPS knight '-'
Ps 2: I didn't copy any of this things from anywhere ^^

Have a good time playing
Please post any question, sugestion or information to help me to make a better guide to us ^^

Crystal Saga Gold Making Guide

Crystal Saga Gold Making Guide by seclusioned

Have you been struggling cause you cant afford any thing you need? Like potions, magic dust, or other upgrades? Well I am here to tell you many ways you can change that!
Level 30+ is ideal but until then you can always farm and pick up loot that monsters drop as well as level in the process. If you see some loot on the ground that no one wanted then pick it up. Sell I it to a vender and there is free money.

Now that you are level 30 you can open up a shop and advertise at most 12 items. Best thing to do is look at all the other shops before you sit down and open your shop. Look for things that are cheaper then they are in all the other shops like gems, dust, heroic wings, mount upgrade tokens, epic items, or gold outstanding items. If you stumble across some cheap items you buy them to resell in your shop. This is not a fast process in making gold I can tell you that now. So set your shop up with prices that are reasonable and at prices you think they will sell. Get a message wrote down something along the lines of “Cheap equipment, gems, dust, and wings here @ (your coordinates) and what L you are in. Post that every 2 or 3 minutes but don’t spam please. Every other time you post that message you should post some of the items you have to sell. Never post the same items and preferably items that are not in your shop that way you can advertise more then 12 items at once. This is best suited for if you have to go somewhere like work, bed, or out to a movie or something. You can also use your magic dust to enchant gold(good or outstanding) or epic weapons and sell them for even more. A +7 lvl 30 weapon on my server would go for 5g easy when the weapon by it self would only go for a mere 1g. Also throw 2 good gems in it but make sure you don’t use a (bound) gem or you cant sell it.

Hunting Elite Monsters

This is the preferred method of most gold makers as elite monsters drop magic dust, ancient coins, and sometimes rare items. This process is a little more work to it and takes a little more skill. But you can do it my way by going to a random map preferably a map a lot of people are on grinding mobs and run around the map looking for elites, bonfires, and Pkers and every time you have searched that map very well change the instance of that map and do the same thing. Pkers usually drop the best loot and if you see one change your mode into justice mode if you think you can PK them and have fun seeing the loots that drop.

Specializing in certain items only

Personally I like this method most. On my server Heroic Wings and Mount Upgrade Tokens go for 1.5-1.7g each. But you can advertise a message for example this “Buying all [Heroic Wings] and [Mount Upgrade Tokens] 1g each, Need lots!” And then list them in your shop at the going rate. This method is best used for items in high demand such as Pristine Ethereal Shards and Epic Ethereal Shards or Magic Dust, Gems, Rods, and other enchant materials. I make the most gold this way personally but I do a little of all of it.

Tips

These are tips I advise you to do any time you can do it.

1. You are 30+ you can solo Indigo by now, It may take a health orb and a few healing potions but you can do it. Lots of gold to be made by doing this.

2. Make sure you get into Revenant’s Vault everyday, Try and run it all 5 times that day. Normal is easy, and hardmode is easy, Nightmare is a little more challenging but still doable by a group of people 35 or higher. When getting in the group let them know you would be willing to buy there shards, wings, and mount tokens. But still roll you may get lucky and get everything anyways.

3. Always sell your normal, green, and blue items to the vender. You get a lot of them when you are questing or in a dungeon. And most are around 5s each but the sell price goes up as you get higher level items.

4. Take advantage of the Coupon feature. Never log your character out either have it AFKing for experience to level or have a shop open. You will get tons of coupons. The only things I advise using these coupons for currently are 1 hour afk cards and pet food.

Need to know things

1. If you want to link an item you have in chat you must open your inventory>hold the ctrl button on your keyboard>click the item and there it is.

2. Coordinates??? Coordinates are where you currently are. You can link them in chat by looking in your minimap icon in the top right of your screen and clicking the blue numbers on the bottom of the minimap.

3.If you need to socket an item this is how you do it. Click your inventory>click socket item(right side of your inventory pop up)> drag item you want to socket to the suggested place for it > click the blocked socket area and if you have the needed socket rods you click add socket.

4. If you need to enchant an item this is what you do. Click inventory > click enchant (also on the right side of inventory pop up) > Drag item you need to enchant to the center of the circle > Drag the materials you want to use to enchant it to each corner then click enchant. Enchant has a possibility to fail and gets even harder the further you go.

More guides to come when the R2 team opens the Auction House and Disenchant feature of this game. If anyone has question you can whisper me on Aurora Point server at the username of Seclusioned.

Newbie's Guide on Accumulating Gold by BlackFeign

This isn't going to be long or very detailed. This is just to help out new players understand the easiest steps to acquiring some gold in the game.

First off, everyone starts off broke in the game and I realize that not every one of you either can or wish to spend RL money on these kind of games to get ahead. Instead you rely on in game currency and hopefully you realize that this is going to be an everyday grind to help establish the funds that you need.

Rules for making Gold:

1. Never beg. I can't stress this enough. You see this happening on the different chat channels all the time. "I'm new can someone give me money??". This is annoying and spams the channels. You are trying to read a good deal in the world server when all of a sudden 10 newbies spam their need for gold/equips and you can't return to that spot because someone else has just sent another comment.

2. Patience. If you expect to become wealthy in this game overnight you either a. have never played an MMO before or b. have 0 common sense..or possibly a mixture of the 2. The more you play the game the more efficient you will become and the more gold you will earn.

3. Creativity. Try to think of new and creative ways of making money. If you are tired of grinding mobs for monsters, start a small service to other players which in return have them pay you for them. Your mind creates endless possibilities.

Now I will list the most efficient ways on making gold currently in the game:

1. Grind Mobs while doing dailies/questing. If you have any quests that require you to kill mobs then take the time to do them. They give a money reward for completing them and you can sell the trash that falls from them...which brings up our next point.

2. Sell everything that drops from mobs which you arn't using for yourself. Instead of throwing the useless gear away to make room for that sword you are eagerly waiting to acquire, take the time to walk to town and sell your useless junk. Chances are you will make at least half a gold per trip of selling the junk!

3. Buy Low Sell High. I can't stress this enough. This is the #1 way of becoming wealthy in this game legally (besides buying crystals). This requires knowing a bit about the economy of the server. If you know that a teeka egg normally sells for 6 gold and you find someone selling for 2, then don't hesitate to make a purchase and then put it back onto the market for the increased price. If you see someone posting on the world chat that they are buying masses of *name any item* chances are they are trying to buy that item for lower than market value and then going to make a hefty profit off of it.

4. Keeping updated on the current server events. This game hosts multiple server events that rewards the players with lots of in game prizes/crystals. Use this as a free advantage to get ahead of the competition! Sure your work is cut out for you but at least you arn't spending a dime!

5. doing your 5/5 dungeons. Dungeons offer some of the nicest rewards in the game. Be on the lookout for dreamwalker shards as these can sell up to 50 silver each! Other new players are always on the lookout for better upgraded gear so if you find some blue equipment or better, then don't hesitate to take that gear and sell it in town for a bit of cash. Make sure to ask around for the best prices!

6. Collecting gems. Many higher level players stock up on gems to upgrade their equipment. You can sell the lowly chipped gems for around 20 silver each! Make a stock pile in your vault and keep a lookout for buyers in the world chat.

7. Buying crystals with RL currency. This is obviously the easiest method of getting in game cash. Players are constantly on the lookout for CS (Cash Shop) items and will pay top coin to get ahold of them to make their toon even godlier. Buy mass items that are constantly in demand such as heroic wings, mount upgrades, morph crystals, and afk cards. These items are always in demand and will always sell for a lot of gold!

This is what I have come up with so far and I will add more if I can think of more ideas on how to help out the new players. Please leave remarks/feedback to further help the understanding of obtaining wealth for the unexperienced

F.A.Q.

Q:"BlackFeign I spend most of my money on repairs, how am I supposed to make profit??"
A: While I agree that the prices can be quite a bit on repairs, you can also buy repair hammers in the game with coupons! 12 coupons per hammer is really a bargain for those just starting off and not having a whole lot of cash. To buy the hammers simply press Y to open up the Cash shop and then click on the tab labeled coupons!

Q: "I'm trying to grind on mobs but I keep getting pked. What do I do??!!??!11"
A: Try moving to a different channel if you are getting harrassed in game. In the upper left hand corner of your mini map there is a little channel that will say L1,L2,L3 etc. There are 5 different channels and I guarantee that one of those servers won't have any pkers in your area.

Crystal Saga Rogue Guide

Crystal Saga Rogue Guide by qingyunjian

Alright, how do i start this...

The definition of rogue is to kill an opponent as fast as possible, therefore you need high critical, high speed, high damage...(always remember this)

All since you got this far let's start, before rebirth(which is level 60 in case you didn't know) add all your attributes to strength (after rebirth all agility)
when you first started no one have good equips so high strength gives you good damage and helps you level, after rebirth you will have somewhat decent equips if you did
your dungeons, agility give you critical, hit, and dodge chance, and since rogues have really low defense dodge makes up for the defense lose. critical gives doubles the damage
so it will also make up for the damage lose.

After rebirth all your attributes will be reset and your level will also be reset to level 1 and you will start from the beginning again (yay how fun is that)
The good thing about this is you will get 50 attribute points and 10 skill points to distribute (good luck leveling without quest though-.-)
btw all your equipment will drop to level 20

now since none of us are level 60 yet i'll just talk about how to distribute your skill points before level 60 (you don't have to follow this guide people have their own opinion on things)
first i'll talk about shadow (because i'm shadow), then combat, then hybrid
(before rebirth, after rebirth)

SHADOW
Slayer's Speed 1/5, 5/5
Slayer's Call 5/5, 5/5 (+15% crit is very useful)
Assassin's Thrust 1/5, 1/5 (Noob skill)
Shadow Rush 5/5, 5/5(Do i really need to explain the difference between 2 sec stun and 4 sec stun?)
Slayer's Cloak 1/5, 1/5 (You don't need long time or movement speed)
choke hold 5/5, 1/5 (Look good huh? Why 1/5? Because at level 60 you get improved choke hold same skill same cool down why waste you points?)
Shadow Strike 1/5, 1/5 (Why? Because all this does is make you go back to stealth mode even if you are in battle)
Slayer's Sprint 1/5, 1/5 (Use for running away, after 8 secs you're already out of battle so you can get on your mount)
Improved Assassin's Thrust 5/5, 1/5 (After rebirth you get master assassin's thrust)
Brutality 1/5 (Enough, don't need too high)
Blade Sweep 0/5, 1/5 (rogue = 1vs1)
Slayer's shadow 0/5, 1/5 (No need)

Combat Rogue Guide by Roban

This is my little way of helping my fellow Combat Rogue or aspiring to be one.

Note: After a number of tests done during alpha, i have formulated a build that is based on my experience the best way to build a Combat Rogue. It is up to you if you will follow this guide or not. Any dissatisfaction to the result of your character in the future is at your own risk. Hehe

What is Combat Rogue

This class can deal high damage using chain skill, inflict poison, or leaving its target bloody till its hp drains.

Lets talk about the stats:

I personally tried to make a Full AGI combat rogue in alpha. I tell you the damage is sucks and your dodge is just like you didnt put agi into your character.

Full STR combat rogue. All i can say is that the damage is great but there are times you miss on the target. You need to have a nice gear into this build specially those gears thats gives additional hit. Or upgrade your bracer fast so that you will have no problem i pressume.

STR/END combat rogue.(2 str/1 end distribtution) I have talked to some rogue players during alpha and they said this build is fine. Though i think same like Full STR build you will also need gears with hit booster. The good thing about this build is that you will have high HP and a pretty well amount of defense

STR/AGI combat rogue.(2 str/1 agi distribution) For me, this build is just suited the skills of a combat rogue. AGI means hit, dodge and critical. No chance to miss unless its a high level boss or player. Can dodge more often and better if you have slayer's deftness skills for it will boost your dodge by 10% when level 5. It can do Criticals more often to a target. You need to hunt sapphire and amber and embed this into your equips to boost your pdef and mdef.

The Skills:

Note: From what i have read in the other thread all characters will be reborn when you reached level 60. So i just based my skill distribution on that. You will just have 30 Skill points when you reached level 60 so this is what im planning for my character:

Double Cut - 1

Twist - 5 (at level 5 35% of target's pdef is reduced)

Triple Strike - 1

Improved Double Cut - 5 ( i prefer this over triple cut coz not only for damage wise but also for the extra damage it gives to the target by draining its hp for a period of time)

Lightstream - 5 (boost your damage by 39% of you patk + 341 at level 5)

Viper's Touch - 5 (max this asap for it poisons the target dealing poison damage 285/3 sec lasting for 12 sec a total of 1140 dmg + it reduce the healing effect of the target by 50% at level 5)

Reversal -5 (will boost further damage when chain with lightstream by 15% more)

i have 3 extra skill points so i will put it here:

Blur - 1 (reduce hit rating of target)

Shadow Slap - 1 (this is very uselful in pvp for it forbids the target to use comsumable for a period of time. i will max this out after reborn)

Slayer's Deftness - 1 (dodge booster)

At level 34 you will have this skill tree:

The Pet:

For those who can afford to buy Crystals i recommend Teeka
For those who cant afford to buy crystals i recommend morphed Spectre

These pets have skills to boost dodge of the master. equip them with charm skill is ftw.

The Equips:

a set of these:

Dreamwalker >Ethereal >Bloodforge
